TDI Advanced Side Mount Diver Course
This course focuses on Advanced Side Mount Diving techniques, applicable in overhead environment or extreme conditions where the use of back-mounted cylinders is not an option.
The course requires the deployment of multiple stage cylinders, depending on the mixes and volumes required. Course depth, gas mixes used or length of penetration depend on the students’ current certification level at the time of enrolment.
Advanced Side Mount Diving is aimed at Deep Open Circuit and or Closed Circuit Diving, Expedition Level Cave and or Wreck Diving.

Course Structure
Day 1 - Dive Planning, Gear Configuration 2 x Site Dive
Day 2 - Dive Planning, 2 x Site Dives
Day 3 - Dive Planning, 2 x Site Dives

Water skills include an elevated level of proficiency (beyond Cave and or Wreck and or Deep OC / CCR) in all skills including hand, light and tactile communications, finning techniques, trim and buoyancy whist performing all skills including loss of gas scenarios, no mask / black out mask following a line inverted with flooded mask, laying and retrieving line, managing / dropping / retrieving all Cylinders during dives.

Depending on the needs and experience of the Student refer to all equipment detailed on the
CAVE Course and or
DECOMPRESSION PROCEDURES Course and or
CCR Course
An additional 2 x Stage Cylinders with a first stage, second stage and pressure gauge as well as a stage rigging kit for each cylinder
