TDI (technical) Side Mount Diver Course
Start your journey into Technical Diving with the TDI Side Mount Diver Course. Side Mount Diving is popular with Cave Divers, Wreck Divers as well as recreational Divers looking for a redundant air source (great way to Solo Dive). Technical Side Mount is an excellent course to have under your belt before entering Decompression Procedures or our combination courses.

Pre Course - e-Learning module
Day 1 - Theory, Gear Configuration
Day 2 - Pool Session + Open Water Dive + gear re-configuration
Day 3 - Open Water Dives and gear re-configuration

Water skills include learning tec style finning techniques (frog / tec flutter / back / helicopter), managing side mount cylinders (for shore, boat and cave entry), maintaining trim and buoyancy whist performing skills.
The TDI (technical) course has a major focus on cylinder management and introduces the use of a 3rd cylinder.

Equipment:
Two cylinders, volume appropriate for planned dive, and student gas consumption
Two independent first and second stage regulators each with a submersible pressure gauge
Stage cylinder with first and second stage regulator with a submersible pressure gauge
Buoyancy compensator device (BCD) with power inflator appropriate for side mount configuration
Mask, spare mask, cutting device and tec fins
Exposure suit adequate for diving environment
Dive computer and an additional depth and timing device; backup computer recommended
Surface Marker Bouy (with 25 lb lift) and reel of sufficient length (depth + 50%)
Slate and or wet notes (plus pencil)
