SDI Wreck Diver Course
Wreck diving can be one of the most exciting aspects of sport diving, however every effort must be made to maximize safe diving techniques. This course will discuss the equipment and techniques commonly employed while wreck diving. This course may be taught as a non-penetration, 2 dives required, or as a limited-penetration course, requiring 3 dives. Limited- penetration is defined as a swim through or within the ambient light of entry point.

Pre Course - e-Learning module.
1 Day - Theory, Gear Configuration, plan a double dive with a surface interval, line and reel workshop.
1 Day - Execute the pre-planned double dive (potential third penetration dive).

Water skills include monitoring of gauges, running line, buddy system, buddy contact, use of lighting systems.

Equipment:
1 cylinder per dive with volume appropriate for planned dives and student gas consumption.
Independent first and 2 x second stage regulators with a submersible pressure gauge.
Buoyancy compensator device (BCD) with power inflator.
Exposure suit adequate for diving environment.
Mask, snorkel and fins.
Dive computer (backup computer recommended).
Surface Marker Bouy (with 25 lb lift) and reel of sufficient length (depth + 50%).
100 m Reel suitable for Wreck Diving.
